Community Watershed Stewardship Grants

Request for Proposals | Contra Costa County’s Watershed Program is partnering with the Watershed Project to administer the Community Watershed Stewardship Grant Program, a one-year grant program benefiting unincorporated Contra Costa County watershed groups and organizations. Application deadline: Thursday, February 4, 2010. Grant period: March 2010-February 2011. Read the PROGRAM GUIDELINES

Eligible Applicants
Groups applying must have, or partner with an organization that has, an organizational or project-based mission to protect local watersheds. Formal and informal groups are eligible; non-profit status or relationship with a fiscal sponsor is required. Businesses, government agencies, and groups with a direct affiliation to a religious or political organization are not eligible. Individual grants range from $5,000 to $20,000 per year. Projects must be implemented in Contra Costa County and must demonstrate a benefit to the county’s Clean Water Program.
